Where can you find local information?
Alkmaar directs records from before 2020 to the Regionaal Archief Alkmaar. Drawings and cone penetration test reports after 2019 are requested through the municipality. If an extension was built in a different period from the house, you may need both search routes. Keep file references with the documents you receive.
Providing usable ground investigation records for an extension
A ground investigation sheet is easier to interpret when its location is known. Include the site plan and full report, even if the investigation was prepared for an earlier phase. The engineer assesses its suitability for the new enquiry. Nearby investigation data must not be adopted for your plot without assessment.
These points help you prepare. They are not an assessment of a particular property.
Three actions to prepare your enquiry
- Send the report with its site plan and attachments.
- Mark the new extension relative to the investigation positions.
- Identify the foundation records that are still missing.
What scope fits your proposal?
Send the records you have found together with your proposed changes. We discuss the calculations, structural drawings and any additional information required. An archive record describes a documented situation; its correspondence with the current building needs assessment. The quotation defines the work and price.
Check permits and other consents separately for the project address. Our structural approval guarantee covers additions to our own documents within the agreed scope. The municipality decides on planning and permit approval.
