Approval guarantee for our structural calculations
A structural question from the municipality? Clear agreements about additions to our own documents.
If the municipality requests an additional explanation or substantive information about the structural calculations we prepared within the original brief, we provide that structural addition within the agreed scope at no additional professional fee.
What does this guarantee cover?
- Explanation of design assumptions and checks in our own calculations
- Additional structural information for the original, unchanged design within the agreed brief
- Incorporating that information into our calculations or associated structural drawing
Which conditions apply?
- The guarantee applies to the final structural documents we supply and forms part of the written appointment.
- You forward the complete municipal request, case number and relevant documents.
- The request concerns the same project and design as the brief. The project information supplied is correct and complete.
- Allow us to provide the additional information before appointing a third party to do so. Third-party costs are not automatically payable by us.
- We agree a suitable response period after receiving the request. A municipal deadline is not an automatic delivery guarantee.
What is not automatically covered?
- Architecture, spatial planning rules, aesthetic review and the environmental plan
- Missing documents outside our agreed deliverables
- Client changes to dimensions, layout, materials, loads or use
- New facts or discrepancies in the existing structure that were not part of the original information
- Third-party work, calculations and construction errors
- Application fees, investigation costs, third-party costs and compensation for delays
The municipality decides on the permit
This guarantee concerns our professional fee for additional structural information. It does not guarantee a permit, represent municipal certification or promise that every renovation is allowed. A decision may also depend on matters outside the structural calculations.
How do you submit a question?
State your project reference and attach the municipality's complete request using the contact form. You will receive clarification of what the guarantee covers. Any additional work outside scope is discussed in advance; it is not carried out as an unannounced extra.
