Where can you find local information?
Utrecht’s municipal desk handles building files from 1996, including Vleuten-De Meern and Lage Weide. Earlier files are referred to Het Utrechts Archief. The municipality first provides an overview of located files, allowing you to select the copies you need.
Selecting the relevant alteration files
Use the file overview to distinguish original construction, later extensions and internal alterations. Do not request only the newest document: a recent facade change may reveal little about the supporting structure. Add a short description of the work you are considering. This context helps identify missing calculations and drawings.
These points help you prepare. They are not an assessment of a particular property.
Three actions to prepare your enquiry
- Select files by subject as well as date.
- Identify which construction phase reflects the current layout.
- Keep the municipal file overview with your enquiry.
What scope fits your proposal?
Send the records you have found together with your proposed changes. We discuss the calculations, structural drawings and any additional information required. An archive record describes a documented situation; its correspondence with the current building needs assessment. The quotation defines the work and price.
Check permits and other consents separately for the project address. Our structural approval guarantee covers additions to our own documents within the agreed scope. The municipality decides on planning and permit approval.
