Where can you find local information?
Nieuwegein’s files through 2012 can be searched through Het Utrechts Archief. Records from 2013 are requested from the municipality. The guidance also mentions Jutphaas and Vreeswijk: records from these former municipalities may be catalogued under their earlier names.
Linking historic and current address details for an extension
If the current address produces no result, record known former municipality and address details. Use a site plan to establish the property’s identity. For a rear extension, existing outbuildings matter as well as the rear wall: show what remains and what is removed. This distinguishes the proposal from an older site layout.
These points help you prepare. They are not an assessment of a particular property.
Three actions to prepare your enquiry
- Include Jutphaas or Vreeswijk where shown in older records.
- Check the positions of outbuildings on the plot.
- Distinguish existing, removed and proposed elements.
What scope fits your proposal?
Send the records you have found together with your proposed changes. We discuss the calculations, structural drawings and any additional information required. An archive record describes a documented situation; its correspondence with the current building needs assessment. The quotation defines the work and price.
Check permits and other consents separately for the project address. Our structural approval guarantee covers additions to our own documents within the agreed scope. The municipality decides on planning and permit approval.
