Where can you find local information?
Assen refers permits from before 1 October 2010 to Drents Archief for access by appointment. Later records can be requested digitally from the municipality, specifying the address and document types. It asks for a focused selection because preparing large files takes time.
Defining a focused records request for a load-bearing wall
Describe the wall you want to alter and identify its floor. Request relevant sections and structural documents alongside the affected floor plan. Archive staff are not expected to determine whether a wall is load-bearing. Include a marked sketch in your project enquiry so the engineer can identify missing information.
These points help you prepare. They are not an assessment of a particular property.
Three actions to prepare your enquiry
- Specify document types in your municipal request.
- Mark the wall on an overview of the floor.
- Ask for sections through the affected area.
What scope fits your proposal?
Send the records you have found together with your proposed changes. We discuss the calculations, structural drawings and any additional information required. An archive record describes a documented situation; its correspondence with the current building needs assessment. The quotation defines the work and price.
Check permits and other consents separately for the project address. Our structural approval guarantee covers additions to our own documents within the agreed scope. The municipality decides on planning and permit approval.
